[Snaptik 4k ] iOS 18.3.2 initially seemed like a “tough challenge” for older iPhones such as the iPhone 13 Pro, but the outcome turned out to be unexpectedly positive.
The iOS 18.3.2 version was released by Apple mainly to fix performance and security issues rather than to introduce a slew of new features. Even so, whether iOS 18.3.2 is truly suitable for your iPhone remains a tricky question. Just because your iPhone can update to iOS 18.3.2 doesn’t automatically mean they’re an ideal match.

Careful Consideration Before Updating
Because of that, deciding to update iOS 18.3.2 on an iPhone 13 Pro requires some caution. Ultimately, however, after upgrading my iPhone 13 Pro to iOS 18.3.2 in hopes of resolving a few performance concerns, I was pleasantly surprised by the results.
Stable Battery, Strong Performance Boost
Performance and battery life are always the top concerns when upgrading an iPhone to a new iOS version, and iOS 18.3.2 fortunately brings notable stability to the iPhone 13 Pro. Comparing the battery level before and after installing iOS 18.3.2, it remains at 68% (yes, not the greatest battery level!), but importantly, there was no drop-off.
As for performance, Geekbench scores show that iOS 18.3.2 scores higher than iOS 18.3 did back in late January. Specifically, it achieved 2,436 points in single-core CPU performance and 6,110 points in multi-core CPU performance, noticeably higher compared to the previous 2,277 and 5,793 figures on iOS 18.3.

Thanks to that improvement, issues like the YouTube or Spotify audio continuing for 2–3 seconds after closing the app seem to have been resolved—at least on this particular device.
Smooth Screen Interactions, Slight Camera Delay
With the performance boost, the touchscreen feels more responsive and stable. The iPhone 13 Pro’s display now scrolls more smoothly, and even zooming in and out doesn’t cause the stuttering it once did. No black spots or odd marks have shown up on the screen either, unlike what happened with iOS 18.3 or iOS 18.3.1.
However, some features might still exhibit a brief 1–2 second delay. For instance, when launching the Camera from the lock screen, it can occasionally take 1–2 seconds for the Camera app to fully start up. This delay isn’t severe, and it might become more consistent in the coming days.

Overall Verdict: A Good Fit for iPhone 13 Pro
All in all, on the iPhone 13 Pro, iOS 18.3.2 proves to be a fairly stable OS upgrade, introducing no unexpected issues while giving performance a noticeable boost. Looking ahead, Apple is set to release iOS 18.4 in April 2025—potentially posing a new challenge for older iPhones like the iPhone 13 series. Let’s stay tuned and see how that goes!
