Around the beginning of 2021, the company increased the maximum length limit of videos to 3 minutes. This has allowed users to be more creative with the type of content they post on the platform.
However, regulators and developers of this app are implementing the ability to upload videos up to 10 minutes in length for all users across the globe.

Some users may feel this change is a step in the wrong direction. That’s because the app’s initial direction revolves around short-lived videos. However, it is understandable why the company wants to expand such a direction. Thanks to that, Tiktok has the ability to compete directly with today’s leading video application – Youtube.
